The Beautiful Valley of Moola Chotok in Balochistan

Though the entire Balochistan region is filled with countless breathtaking and stunning spots, its mountains and deserts are especially captivating. Among these beautiful locations is Moola Chotok. The incredibly scenic waterfalls of Moola Chotok are located in Khuzdar district of Balochistan.

The people of Balochistan refer to Moola as a small area, and "Chotok" means waterfall in the Balochi language. Some people even call this area the "Land of Waterfalls." Interestingly, the water in Moola Chotok remains warm even in winter.

These days, Khuzdar has become a popular and beautiful picnic spot for local tourists, all thanks to the fame of Moola Chotok. Moola Chotok, at an elevation of 3,500 feet above sea level, is surrounded by clear streams and waterfalls. It’s a natural swimming pool so stunning that even a glimpse of its photos will leave you restless to visit. The water continuously cascades down from heights in the form of waterfalls, creating small pools in front of each waterfall where tourists can enjoy swimming.

Most people use motorcycles to travel from Khuzdar to Moola Chotok, as the terrain is rugged and the path is steep and rocky in many places.

Moola Chotok’s waterfall system consists of two relatively large waterfalls and three smaller ones. The trail eventually connects to the Moola Chotok waterfalls. Upon reaching the water's edge, it's nearly impossible to maintain a foothold or find something to hold onto, so only those who know how to swim should venture further into the waterfalls. Otherwise, it could be a fatal risk. These cliffs, worn down by centuries of water flow, have formed intricate and beautiful, but also dangerous, patterns and pathways.

Visiting Moola Chotok with family might be uncomfortable due to the challenging conditions. It is best to go with adventurous friends. There are frequent landslides in the area, which can completely wash away roads. When planning a trip here, choose the weather carefully.
