Due to increasing busy schedules, people either do not have time to enjoy the beautiful natural scenery in the distant places or if they have time, not all have enough resources to go there and enjoy them.
This is the reason why landscapes similar to these natural landscapes have been established in major cities of the world so that people can easily enjoy them.
One such attempt has been made in the plain area at the foot of Mount Chaltan in Balochis tan province of Pakistan,
where an attempt has also been made to embellish the natural environment with the cultural color of Baloch and Pashtuns
. In other areas, modern lodges and huts etc. are built, but here instead of doing so, gadaans or kajdis (traditional tents) are erected which evoke the olden days.
Where is this park located?
This entertainment place called Linju Water Park is located just 15 to 20 km south-west from Quetta city on Quetta-Karachi highway.
Although this area is administratively a part of Mastung district, but being at the confluence of Quetta and Mastung, it can be easily reached here by motorcycle and bicycle,
while buses going to Mastung can also be reached there easily.
If there is no problem due to traffic jam on the way, it can take maximum 30 to 40 minutes to reach this park by motorcycle or car.
What are the facilities in this park?
A swimming pool has been built in this new park to be established in the desert where one can enjoy swimming in the summer season.
Playgrounds and swings have also been arranged to give children a chance to exercise.
People are also provided with the facility to prepare food for themselves, so visitors can prepare their own food as well as prepare traditional dishes. We saw several picnickers here enjoying sajji and other delicacies inside the traditional tents.
Koh Chaltan is one of the prominent mountains of Balochistan, which extends from Quetta city in the west to Lakpas area in Mastung district. Many parts of this mountain are sometimes covered with snow during winters.
People also visit this area to enjoy the snow during the snowfall and then till the snow melts. After the snow melts,
beautiful flowers of many colors also grow here among the khadro herbs, the fragrance of which along with the fragrance of these herbs also perfumes the environment.

He said that after seeing a large number of tents at the foot of Mount Chaltan, it was first realized that there was a population here,
but on coming closer, it was realized that people have pitched tents to promote their culture. He said that although this area is close to the city, it is safe to stay here at night.
Mohammad Naeem Mengal, a B.Ed student at University of Balochistan, had also come to Linju Park to enjoy with his friends. He said that p
eople have been provided with opportunities to enjoy with their children and families.
He said that people in cities suffer from anxiety and stress due to various situations. They can easily go back to having a picnic in a peaceful environment to get rid of them for a while.
Haq Nawaz from Bhag Nadi, the hottest region of Balochistan, also came here to enjoy for some time. He said that in terms of weather,
this area is very good, while the scenery here is beautiful, this area is a very suitable place for a picnic.
